The Position: Medical Account Manager
The “Medical Account Manager” is responsible for identifying profitable business opportunities and cultivating customer relationships in order to grow Vernay’s medical market. Building relationships which position Vernay as a long-term supplier is key to this role. This highly skilled person, will maintain Vernay’s position as a Medical Device Leader through relevant market information, data trends, and risks.
You will have the opportunity to formulate and execute account plans from Vernay’s Medical Business Unit strategy and to develop and enhance strategic customer relationships. The Medical Sales Manager will lead new projects from opportunity through production launches and manage business risks throughout all stages of the project. Technical competency is very important in order to be successful in this role. You will participate in the Medical Business Unit budgeting and forecasting process as well as assist Operations with customer service duties as it relates to existing Medical accounts.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is preferred, with 3-5 years of progressive career growth in sales.
- Must have experience in OEM sales and in developing custom OEM rubber devices and components for the Medical industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with organizational, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to build customer relationships both internally and externally.
- Travel is an important element of the job and the candidate must be able to travel extensively.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
